Plans for 2010: Another Kind of Race!

Sorry it's been so quiet on the blog lately. After finishing the ultrarunner.net grand prix series this year, I took of some time off from running to recover from the many miles. I also had to travel to Europe a lot for work. I'm finally back home for the holidays though.

For the next couple of months, I am going to focus my energy on something non-running related: Together with some of my colleagues, I am going to be writing a kick-ass book for Apress titled Pro HTML5 Programming. It's really exciting, because we're going to be one of the very first books on this cutting-subject and we're even going to incorporate a few running-related example applications ;-)

Before anyone gets any ideas, though, this book is due out in March/April 2010, so I'll have plenty of time to ramp up my training to come back and defend my title at the Super Triple at the end of September next year! I am also planning to run a few more relays with Sean and Rocky, including the Redding marathon Relay in January.

Cool! Looking forward to the relay as well. I'll be looking forward to it even more if i can manage a couple good long runs before then. 2 hours planned for Sunday...

A change is as good as a rest and I hear that HTML5 is really being pushed by Google which means your'll be riding the wave when it goes mainstream!
